I bet every playwright would easily cite any line from whatever epic romance story we tell each other and I’m no difference.
As a person, I’ve always felt caught up between Iseult and Tristan, between Dido and Æneas, and this list goes on and on.
Opera has had a serious yet overwhelming influence on me lately, often leaving me gasping for simplicity and straightforwardness. I guess the way love is portrayed to be disparate to tragedy is what gets under our skin and tears are not enough.
