A Measure of Days

Day 766 | March 23, 2026

One collage per day since February 2024

A long-term, rule-based practice in which I produce one collage per day, forming an evolving system that explores time, repetition and accumulation.

Each collage marks the beginning of the day, a moment of attention to what is subtle or shifting. Repeated every morning since February 2024, this ritual has become a generative structure that informs and sustains my wider practice. Some of these daily collages are translated and reconfigured into larger paintings.

These daily collages function as a point of orientation, where ideas take shape before unfolding into larger works. As they accumulate, they enter into dialogue with one another, forming a constellation of days, an unfolding record of seasons, impulses and interior weather.

In the summer of 2026, the project will be presented as a whole in Néret, France, in the exhibition Dans les collines II, where one of the largest paintings is directly derived from daily collages.
